Tournament regulation Qualifier U12
The tournament will be played according to the rules of the Austrian Football Association (ÖFB).
Game is played with 8 field players + 1 goalkeeper / 9v9. Maximum squad size: 18 players.
Only players born 2008 (or later) are eligible to play. Each player must have a valid player’s pass – it has to be shown if necessary. Any player who is not able to present his document can’t participate in the tournament. IMPORTANT NOTE: If a player, who is not able to present his document, the team automatically loses the match 0:3.
Guest players are allowed but only after verification from Champions Trophy Organizer and have to be in the same age as defined above.
Playing fields and ball
- Playing area: approx. 60 x 45 m.
- Ball size: 4
- Goal: 5×2 meters
1 x 20 minutes without changing sides for all games.
Playing equipment: 2 dress kits must be available. Second named team has to change dress if both teams have same colours.
There is no limit for changing players in a match, but game must be interrupted for a change.
Determination of the tournament mode is in the responsibility of the qualifier organizer and depends on number of registered participants.
In situation of tie in points in group stage following criteria will determine progression:
- points in direct comparison
- goal difference
- goals scored
- penalty shoot-out with 3 attempts each followed by sudden death if necessary.
Offside and back pass rule (= goalkeeper is not allowed to pick up back pass ball) apply.
Cautions and Sending-off Offences
Blue card = 2 minutes suspension, a suspended player cannot be replaced. The suspension is terminated if the team of the suspended player concedes a goal.
Red card = player is excluded from the game. The excluded player may be replaced after 2 minutes or if the team of the excluded player concedes a goal. The tournament committee has the right to exclude the player for additional games or to fully exclude the player from the tournament.
IMPORTANT NOTE: If a player, who is suspended, is participating in a match, the team automatically loses the match 0:3.
Non-appearance of the team will be classified with 0:3, except if there is a valid reason (= final decision from tournament committee).
Each protest must be handed to tournament committee a maximum of 15 minutes after the end of the match. No protest against referees will be accepted.
In case of doubt final decision is made by tournament committee.
Decisions of the tournament committee are not contestable.
Any team behaving badly during the competition (protests about referee’s decisions, clashes with rivals or with the organization) can be expelled from the tournament. All serious cases of expulsion will be reported to the football federation in question. Team managers of the teams will be responsible for the attitude and behaviour of their players towards referees, opponents, public, organization and facilities.
All clubs must have their players insured both on and off the field. Teams are reminded it is their responsibility to ensure players have their European Health Cards or private insurance details with them.
Tournament will not assume responsibility in case of theft or damage to property, injuries or other actions of the public authorities or organization transport due to strikes.
Clubs are responsible for the participants at the tournament as they are the ones who have registered stating that all the players are physically able for the event. Tournament is not responsible for the damages that the participants cause to themselves or to other participants during the competition.
